Too demanding! Better of on ps4 or pc?
This game is too demanding for my pc, I have put everyhing on low and I assign my FPS to 60 fps and there are frequent drops down to 45-50fps. If I put my settings any higher then it isnt really playable. Am I better off on PS4 or on PC with this? Oh and my resoultion is at 1080P at 100%

My PC specs
Geforce GTX 1050ti
Ryzen 7 2700X
8Gb RAM

You know it doesn't run at solid 60fps on ps4 either, not even on Pro, right? And the frame pacing is worse. That said, it runs decent and if you have a Pro it can look pretty good as well.

Just depends on if you care about mods (and not just the ones on Steam Workshop) or not.

Final Fantasy XV runs at 30fps on PS4 and Pro, It even runs at 30 on the much more powerful Xbox One X.

Oh? I thought at least one of the options on the Pro - there were 3 settings - had it running at an inconsistent 40-50ish maybe (after some patches, that is). I mean, not that that is something to sing about, especially with the frame pacing issues. It actually runs a bit smoother overall if you keep it on Steady or Lite, I think it was, to keep it at 30.

I bought this game for my PS4 Pro back when it was released. The fps don't really drop badly, but the overall feeling is worse.

The worst part on PS4, imho: Fast travel is useless, because it is everything but fast. Loading takes forever, sometimes up to 2 minutes. Basically everytime you only need to drive 1-2 minutes for a quest you're better off actually driving instead of fast traveling. Same problem with returning to the car or rest points. The same problem occurs when you enter a new zone or load for the story. Especially chapter 9-13 was painful due the massive loading times that interrupted the flow of the game.

It's the tradeoff you always get when a 400 buck console faces a 2000 buck gaming PC.

A quick google shows Manc is correct. Which isn't surprising, most console games do indeed run at 30fps.

This is what I was talking about, where one of the options is an "unlocked" frame rate, which can bounce around 40-50 but isn't "smooth". This was a couple years ago however, it's highly possible they changed/patched it again I haven't kept up with a lot of such news.

That 1050Ti is killing it.

agreed. FFXV demands a 1080ti for Fluid gameplay at 1440p and acceptable at 4k
1080p a 1070ti minimum.

Why the heck are you still running such a low GPU, you should upgrade to something like a 1060-2060 asap
And an additional 8gb ram also wouldn't be a bad idea
Everything in-between should be fine

Why the heck 34GB Ram, do you really want to run 3 games, run a few background tasks an browse the internet at the same time????

well I play on 4k on a 21:9 screen, I have a I7 9700 RTX 2070 16GB RAM and only get 40 FPS dropps on 25-30 FPS in some areas while in big combat xD that is if I play on ultra with the 4k textures, so yeah very demanding game ^^
