Origin and Windows 10 store version
Can anyone speak from actual experience that these versions of the game don't have the micro stuttering? Seriously considering about rebuying it so i can play it but i'd prefer if a couple of people can confirm that it actually works properly on those versions.

Yep, I bought the origin version after seeing how annoying it could get in combat and the stutters seems to be completely gone, been playing it for 10 hours.

Are we able to import our saves to it?

No.
Did someone tried to import Steam saves of older version (1.25 which is not laggy) to origin or ms store version?
I can provide saves for someone with origin version to try.
I was playing long on downgraded version because didn't know that origin version is free of stuttering and don't want to loose progress.

They are simply not compatible and will give you an error message if you try. There might have been a period over a year ago where it was possible for Origin, based on a couple reddit posts, but if so, it hasn't been the case for a while. I think you'd have to go back even farther than 1.25.

Windows Store was never possible.

If CheatEngine tables made for the game works on Origin you could at least use those to give yourself lots of cash or high level spell catalysts or actual (temporary) trainer-like abilities to make getting back to where you were a lot faster.

Or ask on reddit (or wherever) for an Origin savefile.

But 1.25 is a patch of middle of 2018 iirc. It's more then a 1,5 years. Can someone try my saves on origin?
Do you have an origin copy?

No I don't have the Origin version. I base my statements on youtube, Steam and reddit posts that anyone can find if you do the research. There are always those few that claim they have a method that works where some may say say it did work while others say they can't get it to work for them. Thus if you want to try such methods, it's best to do it yourself since no one can be sure anything will work for all.

EA/Origin has a decent return/refund policy IIRC (24 hours from launching/starting the game).
FFXV is specifically mentioned as being eligible as a "3rd party game refund". Just try it yourself.

That info is wrong!

you cant refund FF XV on origin after the first start!

I tried it with the EA USA & Germany support
and the answers were identical (except language).
Found a solution from one of the guys on reddit, it really helped improve the statters situation :

"This may not be useful to you as you probably already uninstalled the game. But hopefully will be useful for any other people.

Turns out, what causes the stutter in my personal experience is the nvidia photo mode and auto snapshot from Prompto which takes random snapshots during combats.

Disable nvidia ansel (photo mode) by going to nvidia overlay and try to find the photo mode in the settings. At this point, the game will run slightly better when exploring. No more stutter. But there's still a lot of stutters during combat, so get to the 2nd tip.

Disable prompto auto snapshots. Be aware, doing this at the first time playing the game might cause some issue. So I suggest to do this method after reaching chapter 2 at least, when there's already some snapshots in your game because at the end of the story, you're required to choose one of the snapshot (not trying to spoiler or anything). To do this, go to your documents> my games> FFXV folder then just follow the folders until you find one that says "Snapshot". Right click on it, then disable and deny the write permissions on each of the role hut first you go to security tab then advanced. Disable the inheritance thing. Then back to security tab, go to edit you're gonna be able to modify the permissions. JUST DISABLE THE WRITE, DON'T MESS WITH SOMETHING ELSE. This will make your game unable to save any snapshots but you can still preview what's already taken.

This method 100% fixed my stuttering issue. I even tried playing at Max settings with all of the nvidia stuff turned on and there's barely any stutter"

WTH are you people talking.
Its the same version of the game.
Same engine, same assets and everything.
It doesnt matter where you buy it it will perform the same.
If you have stutters on Steam you will have stutters on any other platform.
These platforms are just way for Publishers to sell their game, it has nothing to do with performance.
Some people, man.......

This actually isn't the case for a lot of games. GOG versions are almost always different as a common example, but it's also been common that Windows store versions are very different.

As for whether FF15 has different releases on other store fronts, I don't actually know.

Stuttering issue in FF15 is Engine issue, no matter how many patches game get it will always have stutters.
Just no. I've played on release or some month later and it was stutter-free. I decided to rerun it in 2020 and the stutters were horrible. After some searching I've found that the problem was the last patch in steam version. Surprisingly, versions from another stores (origin iirc, for example) wasn't affected. Even experemented with some repacked versions to be sure. I don't remember how i solved it in the end, by swaping some files or using downgraded version (before last patch) but finished it without stutters, which were exceptionaly in the Steam version with the last patch.

I use 60fps and no more stutters
