Switching targets?
Reading online, it says R1 to get a target, and keep it held (this I can do). It then says to swipe the R stick to change targets. This does not work for me.
I'm currently fighting a giant toad, and I received the prompt to get a break on an appendage. I'm trying to target a leg, but it just will not target anything but the toad in general.
Is there another trick to this?

(using 360 controller)

I think if you're standing in front of your first target, it will always stay on that target. You may need to move directly in line of sight to the new target. I'm not positive. I play using mouse and keyboard. I press a key to change targets.

Not all targets have more than one target point. I don't remember what toads have. Just something to consider. When this is the case, "breaking an appendage" is simply based on amount of damage done - eg at certain dmg-done points something "breaks." You don't target specific limbs or anything.

Edit: and yeah typically if you're really hunting for a new target you need to move either Noctis or at least the camera so center of screen actually hovers over/highlights the target point you want. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just move the camera/Noct around and repeatedly spam the target button until it goes where I want. :D
