COMRADES: What is your build for Ifrit?

Been looking up tips on youtube for the Ifrit fight and literally everyone has high strength stats, so I decided to start working on buffing that up. Im lvl53 now, will it make much of a difference If I get atleast to 61ish?

Also any tips on what weapons you guys use when fighting him?

Im lvl53 now, will it make much of a difference If I get atleast to 61ish?

It'll make some difference in terms of less dmg. reduction if something isn't a ton higher level than your chr, but not a huge difference.

I'm not an expert but in terms of melee builds, it's all about that STR last I knew. (eg, 400-600+STR on each weapon equipped) + some resists on a shield or weapon, for example, if you wish. Monster Jaws, Laser Sensors, Behemoth Tears, Frost/Flame/Storm Shards, whatever new items they've added since last I played. :P

Double Penetrator Dragon Whisker (start from Corseca) was a good one and with Penetrator you need less mega-STR to get to the 9999 per hit. Others prefer using the katana's. There's several high-STR options that can work well. Most depend on Cid's buff to be all they can be.

Just defeated Ifrit!!!!

I basically found out you can increase from lvl99 weapons to lvl120 with meteorites and then went to Norduscaean to buy a ♥♥♥♥ load of the hollowhorn things that increase strength by 25 and then dropped them on my lvl120/lvl99 weapons, ended up with weapons of around 500 str each.

Then I used fierce sigil to keep warp attacking Ifrit. Sometimes warp away from him just incase he decides to swipe you out of the air. Also keep Libertas alive.

Square Enix could seriously make some hard money with a research company dedicated towards studying advanced AI. Libertas is something else, always there for me that its almost heart warming.
