Gae Bolg in FFXV is specifically taken from FFXIV.
It's actually there.
was confused because it said XV afterwards instead of XIII
[Weapon] Blazefire Saber XV
ah that makes sense
many weapons in FF are seen (in different forms with different effects) in farious FF games.
Even so, they are also in the first place based on real life weapons.
Gae Bolg for example was a spear wielded by Cúchulainn in the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology.
A more famous weapons in Final Fantasy that was based on real life/mythology weapons is Excalibur.
They just reuse the names every game for obvious reasons (15 games in the series, can't keep coming up with new and origional names for weapons in every version right? XD)
thats true , yuna and Vanille share the same Ultimate weapon aswell ( both called Nirvana)
IF the mod tool is actually something to write home about, I (or most likely 10 to 20 other people even before I figure out how to work the tool) will most likely release mods that change those pre order weapons ranging form simply upgrading them, to having them level along with the player, to simply making them stupidly overpowered.
why are they bad ? in Lightning Returns DLC items are among the best ( like Caius' sword) especially in early game
