AP farming on PC version.
Hey guys, I'm trying to farm AP up, but it looks like the method for console doesn't work on PC. I'm talking about the monster whistle, kill the lvl 2 mobs one, blow whistle repeat. I noticed on PC you can't do this since the whistle only summons monsters part of the time and it's usually just 1 or 2, and you can't use the whistle again until combat ends.

Any other good methods to farm AP?

North of hammerhead between the camp and the actual location spawns a ton of dropships. You can use the whistle in conjection with this ongoing stream and sort of make up for the nerfed whistle use.

You can just use a cheat to get infinute AP. there is no reason to do something for 10 hours and waste your life for it when it does need to be a challenge even u know? it is just time consuming an nothing rewarding while doing it. so go ahead, you are free to do it in a single player.

method 2 is repeating the training where u can kill Gladiolus with a single warp strike. kills with warp strike gives 1 AP instantly. you can make a simple script to loop this over night ^^.

Why playing at all then? Just don't play, don't waste your time. No point at anything you can just cheat engine through everything. Or just don't buy the game at all.

I read something about having your car drive around on it's own gaining AP that way, that might also be a viable option if we're just full on doing all options.

The monster whistle method still works for me, I normally go to the bit of open space just across the road of hammerhead, where there is that tilted giant pillar. In that area, just continuously use the whistle and it should still spawn monsters, normally between 2 and 4 monsters spawn at a time. And if you equip the fanfare accessories, you'll get 3ap extra for every combat encounter. (I get around 5-7 AP every battle encounter).
To speed things up, just use the whistle again as soon as the exp earned table comes up, then you don't have to go through the combat end animation. This works pretty well, I can get two 333ap ascension nodes in less than one in-game day ^ ^

right now the timed quest is sabertusks, keep repeating it, tons and tons of easy warp kills and no interruptions from airships.

I think it's fun and rewarding to grind for AP. For me, using cheats makes it too hard to enjoy the fun behind each individual ascension node and power spike, and I lose a sense of how the game's natural power progression was meant to be. Staggering it out via AP farming makes me appreciate the game more easily, as well as the uniquness and significance of each AP node, as opposed to if I just had everything immediately.

Problem is though, cheesing a game takes away the feeling of "beating it" properly and some people actually enjoy grinding in JRPG's, spending 10 hours looking for one item feels amazing when you get it so no, it isn't pointless if someone enjoys it.

Anything in life is pointless if it doesn't have a meaning.

Some like beans, some hates it (pun to another thread xD).

We all find enjoyment in our games differently, just like how some loves and some hates FFXV. So does some feels that its fun cheating and go ape frenzy over the game while some rather enjoy the fruit of our hard work and make the most simplest dumbest thing fulfilling and enjoyable. Just have fun =)

Edit, spelling error.

Otherwise we'll be dead with no healers/supports in a mmo or moba party xD
