Yeah, but I mean... The main game. When approaching it by Royal Vessel, the sky turns red and a mighty voice demands you to leave and only come back with some sort of 'power' if I remember well.

same happend to me, after i get all king weapons i´d went back.. But the ship turns off before and I can not get close.
the island is the mikage island in my opinion, you can see the crystal prison of noctis

So you get a item to acess that island that you can use in the main game if you play comrades? just like in Episode: Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus?

Maybe it would in future patch, afterall the Royal Vessel is only accesible lately. Look at the map, i would love to visit altissia from the other side, even if unable to disembark, it would be a nice view.

Yes, you can recruit AI to your party if no one joins your camp.

well, actually i kinda enjoyed comrades. Similar but different mechanics to main game, could get rather grindy at times especially soloing with AI, but it did what it was supposed to do, a story supplement to the main story.
