Summons requirements ?
what are summon requirements like you must be in danger or fight for a long time to trigger a summon ?

why couldnt devs just add 1 summon with a click of button and 1 summon per sleep to refresh it to avoid spam ? like any other ff game had. :/ i only saw Ramuh 3-4 times , Titan 1 time and Leviathan 1 time when it was scripted. shame...

I also had a problem figuring this out. IGN's got our backs though.

I too had wondered about the summon requirements in battle & found that ign link when searching. Its a bit disappointing...I'm guessing its this way for balance.

The summons in FF are one of the draws to the series for myself, its sad to see them limited in number & usability.

Hopefully these conditions can be modded.

Not only the ability to summon in this game is huge disappointment for me.. I think the magic system in this game is utter rubbish.. I mean yes they are powerful if you put them together right but I find it really ever worth it it's just too tedious in amount of grinding you got to do to make good spells...... and going to the inventories and actually have to put them together why could it be simple like the older Final Fantasy games before it .... you know you just use mana points and what not ..and that are not even really spells they are more like Elemental grenades lol
game is horrible in magic

Bigger slap in the face is having the one time only summon of bahamut... hopefully the modding community will correct some of these things.

It's just because of the "lore". The gods don't just help Noctics every 3 meters with their power, just when he needs real help to fulfill his role as king and savior. In addition only few gods really want to help mankind while most are more neutral and you need force so that they obey Noctis. While the summons in older FF titles were just "bigger damage spells" this new summons have some kind of character.
To be fair, this isn't an old-school turn based FF game. This is real time action. That's why only few summons, cause the combat is so good without them. In old FF games you were just sitting there looking at the screen most of the time so they had to give you something to do, such as collecting eidolons/summons and using them all to level them up :beatmeat:

This game's combat however is not lacklustre, in fact there's a myriad of options that are available to you. So, summons aren't really going to be a thing. They basically swapped summons for RTC. Which is good for some and bad for others.

I can let the summons thing slide but the whole Magic system in this game is just nonsense there's no excuse for it I'm sure there are some people out there that finds it fun but most of everybody I know and talk to just don't even bother with it because as I said before it's tedious you spend more time making spells than you would just simply beating things down with your sword.. and again I don't even think of them as spells they are just Elemental grenades
