Is the high resolution pack only for 4K?
I heard it was only for 4K at first, but now I'm hearing it's also for other resolutions. Who's right?

No. If you have the GPU power to handle it, you can use it with whatever resolution you please.

I think it makes a fair bit of difference even using it on 1080, but your mileage may vary.

You can use it, they are 4k textures, that's all.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot on my 1070.

I have a 1070 as well, don't reccomend the pack as it enabled the assets as well which will ding your fps pretty hard. You really wont notice a difference at 1080p, to improve your image quality, follow the guide in the guides tab on how to use reshade, helps way more than that texture pack does.

Suggest using his lumasharpen settings and enabling the clarity and fakeHDR plugins as well. It is night and day difference. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1324512861

Will it dip below 30? I'm already running the game with everything maxed and 150% resolution @50-ish FPS

put it back to 100% and use TAA, reshade will help way more than using SDR with a 1070. Disable all nividia stuff and geomapping and set everything to high not maxed

bind the reshade keys to your numpad so you can toggle them in real time to see the difference. But with those 3 plug ins 1080p never looked so good, plus you get the performance boost by keeping your overhead low by not using SDR. I still get drops all the time in heavy combat and havent found a fix for that yet. BUt do what I just said and your quality of life will go way up.

Meh. Too lazy to set up an entirely new program just to get better graphics. I'd rather go with what the game already has. I already wasted too much time just changing the graphical settings to suit me.

be sure to hit f1 to unhook the mouse then shift+f2 to enable reshade menu, if the mouse gets stuck in the center, alt tab or alt+ enter to put it in windowed mode, hit the windows key, then click back into the game to use the reshade menu so you can change the settings.

it takes only a few seconds to do and 100% worth it. Its almost zero effort.

Also, if the difference is not readily apparent (hence the need for side-by-side comparison), it's not worth it, IMO.

i have a 1070 and use 4k textures and get a nice 60fps on high settings ignore the ones that say a 1070 will not be able to run it.

If I don't like the performance with the 4k textures, I'll give it a shot.

I wish I lived in a world where something like "textures for 4k resolution" actually exists
