I mean, unless you are paying for his game, what is it to you how he chooses to play?
Because we can assume that he's pretty much playing the 3DM version and we do not condone piracy. Either that or he wants a save before buying but i doubt the latter.
Not like it's Dark Souls or something, where cheating in single player hurts the multiplayer.

maybe he played the demo or has played the console version - take your pick both sound valid. I played and beat a few games on console first before getting their pc versions. and some times i wanted to be able to transfer my saves.
can't seem to locate a save. Ignis dlc is very short anyways, proabably just make a new save.
