How To Play in Borderless Windowed Mode
So, Final Fantasy XV does not natively support Borderless Windowed mode for some reason, so you need a third party software in order for it to work.

You can buy the Software Borderless Gaming on steam for $3.99, or you can use this free version from GitHub. (They both work fine.)

https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases

Download and install the program (it's virus free, I've been using it for years.)

1. Run the program Borderless Gaming 9.5.1

2. Run Final Finatasy XV (or any other game that does not support BWM.)

3. Select your native resolution from the Display Options.

4. Set Fullscreen to OFF <-- Important, it will not work in Full Screen Mode.

5. Alt + Tab into the Borderless Gaming Application.

6. Highlight Final Fantasy XV and click the third button down. (It looks like a square with arrows pointing outward.)

7. ?????

8. PROFIT??

Have fun!

Or you can go into documents -> my games -> ffxv -> graphicsconfig.ini and set hardwarefullscreen to 0 instead of 1

Thank you. But not a lot of people know how (or feel comfortable) editing a game's ini file. That works, but this is also more simple, and works with more than just FFXV.

It's not strange, fool. It's literally for sale on steam.

You can just drag Kaldaiens mod to your FFXV folder. open it up in game. press display, then select fullscreen.

For me it is also stranger to download another program, which uses CPU (maybe not much but always) than just spend 2 minutes (or less!) to open game folder and edit ini file!

PC Master race rulez :p

If you're worried about a 900 kb program using up your CPU you should probably look for an upgrade soon... js

It sure is, but also anyone can put whatever they want on there... it's no more trustworthy than any other website with user generated content (speaking as a Github user)

Take note HDR does not work in non fullscreen.

I just do not like any unnecessery programs running background... I edited my startup file for Windows to be as clean as possible, also disable some services etc...

And especially that there is no need to install any additional ♥♥♥♥, just 2 minutes (or less!) and notepad...

it's not about the size of program, its about what it does and how it does it. you can get program that size that puts any cpu on it's knees.

About making borderless windowed, you can edit ini file or download the mod people been posting, the mod helped bit on my performance atleast.
