Stuck at chapter 10 hand of the king

Quest objectives doesn't change when I reach the machine by the pool of water at the bottom of the mine and the monsters that was supposed to spawn at the pool and the shed that allegedly has the key didn't spawn, cleared the whole area and looted everything else, still no progress, help pls

from what I remember you check the path first, its blocked, check the machine for power then it flags the key. did you do those two? also if the key is flagged make sure you look down with the camera so you can actually target it, should be on the botom right of the shelves outside the shed

I think I might see your problem here, you have to actually approach the thing blocking the path and there will be a prompt thing for you to activate, which will lead to them talking about how the machine is blocking the path and maybe the can get the machine up and running, then the objective will change. Once the objective changes over you need to go to the machine switch itself, not the backup generator thing.

The key isnt from a monster. Its just in a shed that you got to when you realize the generators need turned on.

Now there IS a giant shrimp thing in the way but you dont technically have to fight it.

thanks for your help but both doesnt work , i fixed it with the help of another post telling me to go back to the train station and back again to the mine so the quest will reset

Same here, In my experience I have never seen a place such full of bugs. Noctis gets stuck in a lot of corners because enemies on more levels glitch him. Plus the icon doesn't reset, even after going back to the station. It seems they are very common problems, at least for windows edition.
