Chapter 10 : The hand of the king bug

is anyone else facing a bug in this chapter where the quest objective gets stuck at 'head for the depths of the mine' even though you are on the objective marker and activates the machine only for it to saying the same thing over and over again without progressing? i wandered around the area , found the dungeon with blocked entrance and cleared all the monsters in the area , still no luck. Hope someone can help me , thanks !

hi , i went to google the walkthrough for this chapter and read that the key is supposed be at the shed nearby the camp and i have to defeat some monsters to get it , but the monsters does not spawn for me and there is no key nearby , only an item drop behind the shed

I dont recall having to kill monster for the key. Its around the shed, try circle around it and see a shiny object. Key is there, its not dropped by monster.

Btw, the shed is near a campground as far as i can remember.

i solved it by looking at another discussion thread's suggestion , just walk out of the mine area towards the train station again and the quest will reset when you come back

Thanks a lot ... I was stuck on this quest on XBOX, it was driving me crazy after looking at the solution and spending 1h before that ... I tried many things like doing the stupid photo quest before (and going back to sleep at the station, where the game crashed ... ) But then the quest started normally with the markers telling me to go to the different spots.
A year later your answer is still relevant !

Thank you. I was suffering from the same bug. The quest is not progressing when I go to the quest marker and the enemies/key are not near the shed, since they only spawn when the quest progresses (terrible design).

This game is already frustrating to play as it is (well, really just the god awful combat and teammate AI pathing in dungeons). I almost wish the fix didn't work for this bug so I could uninstall lol. But I'll muster through it. The story and exploration is interesting enough for me to not go straight to YouTube to watch the remainder of the game.
