how can i summon??

I have 3 summons but dont know how to use it, I press ALT to use summons in battle but dont work, how i can use summons?

First it has to change the air around you, it stands out. Then it will say to summon to hold down first the tech button that you use your allies abilities, then it will tell you to hold down another one. You need to hold it down for 3-5 seconds.

so i can only use summons when the game says to me, i wanted to have more freedom to use them

If you were free to use them everyone would summon them at the beginning of any fight. That would be stupidly OP

Yeah you can only summon based on certain conditions of where you are. I put in over 100 hours on the ps4 version and I never got to see Titan.

Summons apperas when you`re getting ass kicked (randomly) or when battle is taking too long (randomly) or if you in luck you can summon right away (super rear)

during rain or at night - lord of thunder (Ramuh)
in vast open fields near crator - Titan (Archean)
near water - Leviathan
there`s more summons which i don`t remember

Archean appears only near crator and when it`s sunny for most part I was getting Sheeva or Ramuh

Shiva/Gentiana
Don't think she has a preferred terrain type to trigger, so I would class her as somewhat rare compared to the others.
