farm XP to get directly to level 120?
I read that on PS4 it was not possible to get directly to 120 cause at 99 your EXP "get used up" and you have to farm anew.
Just asking if anybody has come so far on FF15 Windows Edition.
I'm currently level 1 with 1,2Mio XP farmed up, enough for level 99 but can I go directly beyond?

yes, you can go above 99.
But its VERY Expensive EXP'wise to do so, 1 million exp wont do it.

Why not just cash in the exp? Its better to do that than holding it and hoping the game doesn't eat it up.

Save your game before you stay at a hotel? If you go beyond 99, great. If you don't then reload your save.

Galdin Quay is really the only place you can get a 2x multiplier for exp without having the game auto tally your points at the end on each chapter. Though low level enemies is going to take forever to get to max level. Chances are you're going to need to do quests, but trying to get from 1 to 120 is pretty tough. Also the PS4 had a level cap at release that did this.

Costlemark Tower is probably the best place to farm exp imo, but thats the toughest dungeon.

What's the logic behind not cashing in your XP? Genuine question, I don't understand if there is some benefit to this.

some people do it to make it harder
some do it to just rack up exp and then cash it in

it varies.

But going above 99 is VERY expensive, like 600k+ a level expensive

Would be fine but if anyone already tried it and it's not necessary to farm more EXP I can cash in mine without overfarming.

I don't wanna cash in now cause I got myself a place where I get 15k-25k per fight (max 2 minutes fight). I could use that place now cause I'm level 1. I doubt I get anything like that on that fight if I'm level 99.

The higher exp you have, the more you can profit from sleeping in a hotel.
On topic: Get Debased Coins and craft yourself EXP spells. Then, go through the post game dungeons. You'll get exp at a very quick rate as you're tackling them.

Thank you zachillios. And yeah it's because I only need to farm 1 time 1,05 Mio EXP to get to level 99 just because I can 3x at Altissia.

It goes beyond level 99. I farmed 1,5mio EXP and reached 100 and a bit.

as i said, you CAN go beyond 99
But the EXP gap is pretty large.
