I dont understand something in the Kingsglaive story SPOILERS

I am actually quite mad about one bit of the story. King Regis sends Noctis to Altissia to bethroth to Luna, but why then he then sent Crowe to bring Luna to Insomnia?

Crowe was sent there to sneak Luna away from Insomnia. King Regis already knew the treaty was gonna end in war.

so why Regis sent Noctis to Altissia when he knew that Luna would be coming to Insomnia?

Like I said, Crowe was sent to sneak her away from Tenebrae to Altissia. Not Insomnia. Glauca was a traitor so he killed Crowe soon after she left on that mission.

To get him the frick out. As they say in Kingsglaive, and in the game, Regis knew it was coming long before. He knew he wouldnt be able to protect his people, so he sent Noctis out to keep himsafe, so there would be hope for the future

Not in secret, their marriage is part of the peace treaty. Ardyn makes that stipulation in Kingsglaive when he has an audience with Regis. Niflheim just never planned on seeing that treaty signed and hoped to kill Noctis and Luna in the destruction of Insomnia.

yes, so i suppose Ardyn didnt know about Noctis leaving Insomnia ...but wasnt it weird for Noctis that he was about to marry Luna in Altissia, far away from home, far away from Regis, Nifelheim's main guy and the others?

the game doesnt explain this very well but it seems that altissia is a neutral nation that whilst under empire treaty has maintained its own army and a bit of independence. It also seems to traditionally be where the oracle marries the king. i think thats what they were going for..

If the wedding happened there in secret before the impending attack inside insomnia the empire would have had to find a new reason to attack or their public image would deteriorate and there would be riots etc..
