Episode Gladiolus massive FPS drops
Anyone else getting huge fps drops during episode gladiolus? It's a lot worse than Altissia.

I can play most of the game in 55-60 fps at 1080p (with an ASUS GTX 1070 Dual, 16 GB RAM and an i7 7700k) except a very few places: Leide (Chocobo Ranch Outpost), Altissia and this DLC zone.

I've been reading this zone murders frames a ton, even in consoles. Wondering if anyone has tried palying it and has the same massive FPS drops.

Against the Bandersnatch miniboss, for example, FPS can drop to 39 or so. Tried lowering TRAM to High and Shadows to High as well. Nvidia crap is turned off completely.

Massive frame drops here but probably due to having Geomapping on. The region is very rocky and some of those rocks are quite detailed. I dont think its unoptimised as such, only rather more complicated than other regions in the game.

Or I could be wrong and its optimised like as...
The fact you have force TRAM to be used on it's highest gave you very little GDDR left for other stuff, TRAM is used to set aside GDDR to be used for textures solely.

Nvidia stuff is fine, I think you may have just set things thinking it will be fine while not understanding it fully.

So far for me and I have a 1070 also, is the main problem is with summons which I believe to be updated particle counts being too high that it forces the GPU to lag until they dissapate.

Yeah, probably. I'm moving things around still in the config. What are your settings? :o

I don't have it at 120fps as it always seems to kick in my nvision stuff.

Tried that, still getting a few FPS drops here and there but seems a bit more manageable. Thanks.

Hopefully we get a patch soon to address the performance issues regarding summon usage and this...
