Final Fantasy XV and Pagefile Usage
This game uses a crap load of Pagefile Usage that I've measure, using MSI afterburner, to be around 24,000mbs. That's with 16Gbs of RAM and 8Gbx of VRAM. That pagefile usage is by far the most out of any game and application that I've used. This game, at it's current state, most definitely has a memory leak issue.

Yes it definitely has a memory leak issue with some systems including mine which is higher end. I had to turn my page file up to 12 gb and I the gsame still eats that up in a matter of 1-2 hours so that my game freezes and I have to restart. Kaladen has made note of this and hopefully they release a patch soon.

try turning your seting down 1 by 1 until you find the one that has the leak
if some people have and other dont it mite be high end seting thats doing it

my setting if this helps any https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/931555591993942632/42F37D8E01D77A2038D41CC0BABBEF5AAAFE99A9/

Highest I've been was 44.8 GB of pagefile usage. :ss13ok:

Have you thought about setting Max pagefile lower. I can't speak for Win10 but I see no reason on modern PC's with their huge amounts of RAM to need to allow Windows to create such huge pagefiles in the first place.

Edit: I'm not denying a possible memory leak, I just mean ... maybe limiting pagefile would help it be less of an issue while playing the game or something. I don't know, speaking out of my butt, I'll go away now.

Yep it even crashes on my PC after a few hours of continuous gameplay. "Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: ffxv_s.exe (9320) consumed 27539116032 bytes"
That's 27,5GB. Someone said that it has something to do with TRAM in-game setting, FFXV can't properly load-unload textures so it uses RAM and page file instead until it eventually crashes.

That's wicked. I just finished playing after a couple hours and my pagefile usage went up to 28Gbs, and it started stuttering like no tomorrow. It sucks because this game is awesome. My first time playing Final fantasy since FF X and FF 7 before that. I really hope SquEnix fixes this crap because it makes the game literally unplayable for hours on end.

I will try limiting my Pagefile soon but first I want to try different TRAM settings before I do. I've been playing with the highest setting but I will lower it and diagnose the situation. Hopefully this all gets fixed cuz this game is great so far (currently in chapter 3).

What do you mean 0 problems? Can you summon without having your fps drop?

yeah first i had this problem with my i7 7700k/gtx1070 and 16gb ram..
upgraded to 1080ti and 32gb ram..still crash because of ram/pagefile..wtf is going on with this game.. i just want to play for more like an hour, last crash i got (just a couple of minuts ago) was 24minuts into the game... in these 24 minuts my pagefile was at around 29gb while ram usage was only at 13gb (<---ram usage is fine but the pagefile is causing the problem)

its definitly related to ram/pagefile i always had my eye on the afterburner graph on my screen..

i mean yes this game likes to eat hardware..and im fine with that since my pc is more than good...but damn they really need to fix this memory leak -.-

I hope they fix it soon because it's unplayable at the moment. Just built a new system and was excited to see how it would deliver with FFXV. I7 8700k, 1080TI, 16GB RAM. Page file at 4GB. The fact it uses the page file like this is hilarious...

I'm surprised people with 16gb still have the same problem as me, even though I'm running the game with only 8gb of system ram but with high res textures max settings and my gtx 1080.

I can play for a couple of hours before I inevitably crash. But a couple of hours is still enough playtime for me.
