Too Many Airship Drops !!!
The Amount of Airship Drops when doing Sidequests etc, is INSANE high. What the ♥♥♥♥ is this. I mean i can't do any Battle with Wild animals and Monster without 1-2 Airship drops. every ♥♥♥♥ing Minute i run freely around there is an Airship with Troopers. It's so ♥♥♥♥ing annoying.
I want to explorer the world. but this is nearly impossible because of this inasne rate of Airships.

I starting to lost the fun of the game because of this♥♥♥♥♥♥ i mean comeone . I want to defeat an Alpha wild animal which is 10 lv above my. Ok would be an intersting fight. BAM!! first wave of troopers joining the fight and i can't handle the alpha anymore. Either i must run away now and give up or defeat the troopers only to get a new wave after the next 40 Seconds...with even stronger Troops....

Sry but this mechanic is dump as ♥♥♥♥..

IMO the best way to handle them is to prep a spell. They jump down in a tight group that's absolutely perfect for a nuke, so light them up whenever they interrupt you.

well thats what i am trying. but even if i take the weakness of them they lost only 20-40% of their HP. Even if i try it with a 99 strong spell...

You using catalysts? Can get some pretty devastating effects with them.

I think magic has been nerfed.

I last used magic in this game not long after it launched on the PS4, back then the magic cooldown was way higher, but also magic seemed to be a "push to win" button. Now we have a much lower cooldown, but it also seems to be nerfed in damage output. HAs anyone confirmed this or is it just placebo?

Nerfed damage? I'm always able to hit 9999 in damage with the spells. I just use all of the 99 fire I have to a single spell and its seems to do the trick. I also have to hit enemies that are weak against it otherwise I do far less damage. Hell I can throw in some item so it cast the spell 5 times each doing 9999 dmg on all the enemies around. So they are still very powerful.

just kill them. . . imperials are stupid

which item are you using for the quintcast?

The best one I have found readily available seems to be the drops from the magitek soldiers. Suddenly I like their spawn rates. The potion they drop for unlimited MP use grants quintcast.

But yeah I guess it just me been placebo. :)

A fair few enemies I used spells on this playthru it did pitiful damage even only in the 100s, and they were not resistant to magic or the element.

If you do the daily quest to get points, one of the items you can buy is an item for Limit Break magic

I agree with OP. Also an irritation point for me of this game.
I'm perfectly fine with it when I'm moving from point A to B, or just exploring. But I find it highly annoying when they drop in when I'm battling a random monster/quest monster. Also because they keep getting dropped after whipping out. Next to the posibility of getting overwhelmed, it also makes the battle ground pretty confusing. Monsters attacking me and my team, troopers attacking me and my team, monsters attacking troopers. And I'm not sure if troopers react back to them.

Magitek Booster is the way to go for sure. Also, I dont think magic has been nerfed, but it does depend a lot of Noctis' magic stat and resistances of the target.

Also, the drop ships mostly only happen in Duscae and Leide.

Just make a Quintcast spell and fk them up

I kinda like it. It gives you the sense that the Imperial troops are actively hunting the prince of Lucis as well as give a sense of the invasion of Lucis.

I agree. I don't mind the idea of them being added as a bit of a time sink but they are not the flying boxes of engaging, varied and worthwhile battles that they could have been. Instead they are frequent, easy and not really that worth stopping for.

Would have preferred dropships that generally leaned toward a higher difficulty with an appropriately lengthier health pool to drain to justify better rewards, with less frequent spawn times to counterbalance the battle length. The way it is now causes the dropships to function as a frequent interruption to the joys of exploring, not to mention the best parts of the soundtrack.
