I last used magic in this game not long after it launched on the PS4, back then the magic cooldown was way higher, but also magic seemed to be a "push to win" button. Now we have a much lower cooldown, but it also seems to be nerfed in damage output. HAs anyone confirmed this or is it just placebo?
Long Live airship drops!
This works ,when i did that i laughed my nutz off xD (they all just kept jumping in my premium pit of fire , pop pop pop xD)
The best one I have found readily available seems to be the drops from the magitek soldiers. Suddenly I like their spawn rates. The potion they drop for unlimited MP use grants quintcast.
But yeah I guess it just me been placebo. :)
A fair few enemies I used spells on this playthru it did pitiful damage even only in the 100s, and they were not resistant to magic or the element.
I'm perfectly fine with it when I'm moving from point A to B, or just exploring. But I find it highly annoying when they drop in when I'm battling a random monster/quest monster. Also because they keep getting dropped after whipping out. Next to the posibility of getting overwhelmed, it also makes the battle ground pretty confusing. Monsters attacking me and my team, troopers attacking me and my team, monsters attacking troopers. And I'm not sure if troopers react back to them.
Magitek Booster is the way to go for sure. Also, I dont think magic has been nerfed, but it does depend a lot of Noctis' magic stat and resistances of the target.
Also, the drop ships mostly only happen in Duscae and Leide.
Would have preferred dropships that generally leaned toward a higher difficulty with an appropriately lengthier health pool to drain to justify better rewards, with less frequent spawn times to counterbalance the battle length. The way it is now causes the dropships to function as a frequent interruption to the joys of exploring, not to mention the best parts of the soundtrack.
