Photo quests bugged?

So far i've had 2 quests where i've got to go around taking photo's of certain things, side quests are called caestino on camera and Crown city without a king, you go to the quest location to take photo, when you take it, it doesnt count and says things like "need a better angle" etc?

Has anyone got a solution to this bug?

I assume you're clicking on the marker to take the photo, not trying to use the camera yourself?

And it's daytime?

Edit: or if it is a manual photo taking quest (did they add some recently?) then sometimes they're very picky about what's in the frame of the shot.

daytime + have to take it manual, and i've hit the 200 limit multiple times, and in the 1 quest your literally standing right infront of what you've got to take the photo of so theres no way you'll miss it, but apparently i need a different angle.

I'm not sure then. I know in one of the Festival's, if they wanted you to take a pic of a cat on a table, you had to get the angle just right - not only turning the camera but up and down or distance/zoom even. So it would sometimes take a few tries, including adjusting the player position, not just camera controls.

If all they've given you is a vague clue and no specific target, my guess is you aren't taking a shot of the object they actually want and thus Noct is saying what he's saying.

But the bug doesnt happen there, happens on a monument that's literally 3 feet away from photo icon

If there's a blue circle on the map, the photo icon is just the center of a radius of which the quest object resides within. In such cases it does not represent the actual location of said object. The object could be anywhere within that blue circle.

I know, and i've gone everywhere and every angle possible and filled the 200 photo's limit a few times.

Did you ever get it to work? I went onto my console save and ran through it. Took me about 5 tries.
They want mostly just the fountain statue for the Crown one. Here's a pic of where I was standing/resulting shot:

If you didn't/can't get it like that, then I'd guess just another bug, yeah. :/

I had tried a bunch too and got frustrated so i googled it

It mentioned something about capturing memories so i put the whole gang in the shot, and just to be safe used the memories filter.

no idea how it came to me it's pretty abstract and i cant figure out if that was even the solution or if i just got the right angle they wanted idk
