Is it possible to play female characters in singleplayer?

No. The Main Characters in FF XV are all male - Even though Noctis has a female touch.

Its a story about the Prince. You play the Prince. Theres DLC that allows you to play other characters in the main party...None female though. Its an all male group of buddies out on a road trip to take the Prince to his wedding. Why would a female be there.
