Cid upgrades bugged?
Is this questline bugged for anyone else?

I've given Cid the glass gemstone and done multiple quests and hunts while waiting, rested at camps etc. He never calls and the quest never updates.

There was at least on upgrade that took ages to complete after I gave him the necessary materials. Don't know which it was but it felt like hours to me but that was when I played the game on the PS4

Aye, i've done some googling and it turns out that this is a bug that is well known in the PS4 version, and still hasn't been fixed by the looks of it.

A lot of bugs from ps4 have been also ported for pc. That prompto interrupting in the car and droping few frames is also happening on ps4.

Its linked to actual gameplay time not in world time from what i remember. Odds are that by the time he's done, you wont need it anymore.

Yeah but even at max level it isnt the best thing in the game.

If you don't sleep Cid will never call you even if you do 100 hunt or sidequest.
It's not linked to actual gameplay time but to the days passed when you sleep.

The more you upgrade the longer it takes it seems, took a loonnggggg time before my third upgrades even finished.

Yea he does, time just passes slower. I did nothing but side quests and hunts until he called me.

Yea and that seriously sucks, just give it to me immediately, why do we have to wait at all?

No it's not. >.>

But the number of times you sleep/rest before he calls does increase for some of them and it seems to vary a bit. It's not always do 1 hunt, rest, phone call. You can't just rest 10 days in a row doing nothing else, either. I've always done 1 or two hunts/quests each day, rest, repeat until he calls. Don't think it's ever taken more than 3 or 4 game-days or more than an hour, that way.

If the TC is hunting and sleeping etc. for many game days and it's not proc'ing, it's just a bug.
