GTX 1080 Users, what settings do you use?
I'm trying to find a good balance between fps and eye candy, got a i7 7700k and a 1080p 144hz monitor too.
I maxed out everything and I get some frame drops to 50, not really enjoyable :/ but I don't really need too much fps either.

gtx 1080
win 10
Smooth 60 fps (max details) all the time in 1080p but it likes to crash. And the nvidia gamework stuff is buggy for me and can hardcrash my pc. So i turned it off

I have a 1070. Running at max settings with nvidia settings except the grass simulation all turned off. Never drops below 60.

A single 1080 I tested a lot in the demo

1 can run max settings everything on and do 1080p 60FPS if you cap the frame rate. it should be about 76% use on GPU depending on clock speeds ect, uncapped you'll hit 100% and get frame drops and you'll likely only get an average of 80 FPS.

Remeber resolution scale 100% at 1080p is 1080p at 150% 1080p it's like 1440p and at 200% it's like 3840x 2160. which can really be a drain on any system.

If you want to push for 120+ fps you'll need to turn off 4k assets, all nvidia works set TAA off, and then turn most settings down until you find a balance you like between quality and FPS

As far as I know tram is a fancy name for what other games simply call texture quality.

i used a 980 and can play at medium 120 FPS or High 60 fps. You folks with a 1080should have better results than that.

yeah I feel like the high res pack is whats causing it too, is there a way i can uninstall that?

oh no, other way around. all maxed out with turfeffects on, and the other 3 nvidia options off. They don't add enough to make it worth whatever performance hit i'd probably take
i7 3770k
1080
16gb
1440p 144hz monitor (but game maxes at 120, so whatev)

Shadows down a tick
AA using TXAA
TRAM at Highest (There's actually a couple gigs of VRAM to spare, I'll keep using it probably until Chapter 3)
High Resolution Pack active
All Nvidia Effects off. The geo setting more than makes up for less bushes.
Everything else maxed

50-80 FPS, lowest in combat, highest at Hammerhead/Galdin Quay
