What is a Warp Strike - Cross Chain?

How do I initiate a cross chain after a warp strike? I keep getting prompts to perform them in order to get AP.

Lock on to enemy and warp strike.

If you get that message, some enemy is in Vulnerable state (lying on ground) and will have a red arrow marker hovering over him. Warp strike attack/hit that specific enemy and the cross chain will start.

Cross chain is a QTE where the boys attack one at a time in sequence and you have to press a key at the right time to keep it going (10 hits is the full chain).

P.S. - it's mostly good for high HP bosses and silly/idiotic for smaller fodder where the time to perform cross chain is longer than it would take just to whack it with a stick.

is the button for cross chain only lmb? cause it was for me and it got old pretty quick.

Yeah, it's just one button (controller it's press circle over and over). On smaller foes it would be "dead" long before you finish the whole Chain. Although you can purposely miss a prompt to end it early if you want. I usually just ignore that message except on larger foes or bosses. :)

If you want the trophy/achievement tho, it's easier to do it early, before you can 1-hit most lesser things in a single warp strike (or two), since that means it's very hard to proc the Cross Chain, lol.

What is QTE ? i only succeed 2 cross chain link , even when i hunt catoblepas i only got 3 cross chain link.... any advice ??

QTE is short for "Quick Time Event", where you're supposed to press a specific control at a specific time to progress the game.

As for the Cross Link Chain, you don't have to wait until the circle winds all the way down to the prompt image to press the indicated button, you can press it any time it's on screen to get a successful response.

I recommend holding the button down until the prompt flashes, just to be sure
