a large majority of the 311 game i own on steam bar ones that i bought to specifically play online can all be played offline some can even play with out steam even open.
Games like FF15 i prefer to play offline because i like to move my setup all over the place often where their is no internet access
You'll have to play the PS4 version or buy the PC edition from a site that doesn't use DRM
I have SAO Fatal Bullet and it has Denuvo and I can play it offline so FFXV should be no different. I can test it when I get home this evening but as long as Square have not programmed it to require a connection then offline play should be possible.
I can play just fine without an internet connection.
Wh... Why are people saying these things?
Anyway, to answer the OP: EVERY Denuvo game requires an online check when the game is first run and whenever it's updated in order to validate the files though Denuvo's servers; if, for whatever reason, you can't get online and launch the game at these times, then you won't be able to play until you can get online again. Also, a lot of Denuvo games (the majority, if I've researched properly) will require you to be online to revalidate files after a certain period of time has passed -- usually three weeks to a month -- so staying offline for an extended duration can be a problem. Outside of these instances, the game should work offline.
Saves are stored locally and synced to the cloud when you are online (unless you disable cloud support). Saves work fine offline.
I have no clue why people are making crazy claims about saves and Denuvo breaking offline support. It's just not true.
The periodic check is part of Denuvo, not Steam; Steam's Offline Mode lasts indefinitely.
