Crashes, crashes, crashes...
I've read lots of threads on this forum regarding crashes, and I've tried rolling back the drivers, lowering the TRAM setting, turning off the Nvidia settings, but the game still crashes...

Is there anyone here who managed to fix this issue? My page file and swap file (or whatever it's called) is both set to automatic, and the game is installed on an SSD. The PC is completely stable the rest of the time and no other game crashes like FFXV. My specs are:

i7 4770k
GTX 1080 Ti
16 GB RAM
Win 10.

I should also add that it happens at seemingly random times. The last crash was when I fought a couple of monsters for a hunt quest, the previous crash was when I customized the Regalia, and it also crashed on a load screen...

I've verified the game files, and nothing was wrong there.

The pagefile change did it for me.

Disable any overclock you have on CPU/GPU (just for testing). I found I had to dial back my overclock slighty due to the extra temps in my case. The game pushes my system HARD.

If you have multiple monitors setup make sure only one is active.

Have you tried full screen borderless? Change "HardwareFullscreenMode" from 1 to 0 in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XV\Steam\XXXXXXXXXX\savestorage\GraphicsConfig.ini file

i5 3570K
16GB RAM
GTX 1070 (latest 391.01 drivers)
Installed to SSD
Windows 10

I monitor my temps all the time, and neither the GPU nor CPU reach higher than 70-ish even though I max the game at 4k. My pagefile is set at around 8GB, which should be fine I think.

I'll try fullscreen borderless to see if that helps.

Ugh, that would have to be my last resort, since downloading 150GB of data would take around 12 hours or more.

I think the PROBLEM is Pre-load version of the game that cause the crashing of everthing.

Will people stop blaming everything on Denuvo.

I had the same crashes as OP when I was running the demo which didn't have Denuvo. Changing my setup fixed the issues and the main game has been running fine since.

Hm well, maybe I'll have to do that then :/ it didn't help with disabling the hardware fullscreen setting in the ini file either.

Ah well, I'm downloading it again now. Let's hope that fixes it since the crashes just kills all the fun.

Just a quick question ,u run w10 right?

Right click the final fantasy .exe that would boot the game and check the box that says " disable fullscreen optimization" if this would fix it , blame windows fall creator update

Too late :'D I'm on a 12 hour long download now. I'll keep that in mind though if the issue persists even after the download.

Good luck :D

Haha thanks, I've soon downloaded the base game. Will try then to see if it works, then download the high res texture pack during the night.
