DLC weapons - use them?
So I see there is a bunch of DLC items that come packaged with the game. Not sure if it's pre order bonus or not but I feel like they make you way too powerful for the start of the game. I've opted out of using any of them does anyone feel the same way? It just feels so unbalanced

Yeah, I ignored them. I think it's silly to give them to you at the very start -- they make the weapons from the first few chapters pointless, and are a huge advantage in the early game. It's not like the game is that difficult regardless, so there's no reason to make it a cakewalk.

But at least you can just disregard them. What peeves me more is that you start with a bonus key item to reduce hotel costs, and there's no way to get rid of it that I can see. It's not a big deal, but what's the point of balancing prices in the first place if everyone starts with a discount?

Woulda made a lot more sense to me if the dlc/update items appeared at certain points when they'd fit a little better into the game.

Man such a solution to these DLC items never came to my mind. I always wondered what is the use of DLC items that are way too underpowered and lose their use just a few minutes into the game and finally I thought someone made it right. But your suggestion seems the ideal one here.

I typically avoid the more cheaty feeling item DLC that seem really common in JRPG's these days.

I would have liked it better if the weapons were of the upgradable kind. Powerful in the end game but just a wide starting selection in the beginning.

dlc weapon is not really that powerful, use them.

The powerful stuff is the fishing gear. heh.

The DLC weapons will give you a power boost in the early sections of the game. You can buy better from vendors after just a few hours.
