Xbox 360 Controller

[heavy butt traffic]

Preloaded, started up the game.

Unresponsive to 360 controller.

Noticed it was showing PS controls in control options.

Messed around with forcing on the 360 controller in big picture mode.

Worked, but sometimes buttons get stuck. Like you hold the left stick up and you keep walking forward. Sometimes it doesn't respond at all, sometimes it works fine.

Rebooted.

Now it totally doesn't work. Put 360 controller options back to how they were with big picture mode.

Started up Doom, Bayonetta, Dark Souls 3, works perfectly fine.

Still unresponsive when I run FF15.

Anyone else having an issue like this?

the controller situation is so broken for this game , for some people it works others it doesnt . For me no controller works . I hope they get this sorted it out

I have no problem with my xbox 360 wireless controller. It just worked for me after starting the game.

For me it doesn't work at all. Big picture recognises the controller but not the game. Will wait for a patch.

***UPDATE***

I had a paired DS4, so I went into my Windows settings and removed it. Works fine now.

(There's a reason I wasn't using the DS4, but it's a long story that's basically: bluetooth issues.)

Played it for maybe 20 minutes. No issues.

I have a wired Xbox 360 and it didn't work for me? Does anyone have any thoughts? I would really love not to do a 8 hours stream again without a controller!!

Wired controller wont work with :| it should, the game just wont recognize it... steam does though. Extremly frustrating.

Seems to only affect 360 controllers? My XBOne Windows controller (wired) is working flawlessley. =/

It goes back and forth for me, when I started it was showing just button layout with no definitive controller in mind. after i booted it back up after dinner it was showing xbox buttons. that was last night, just started it a few minutes ago and it's not showing xbox controls

This happens with either an Xbox one or steam controllers. Is something in the game, not on our end. A patch is needed

xbox one and 360 ,both wired , no single issue since minute 1 since 74 hours.
No idea what crap toasters you guys have.

Enable generic & Xbox options in the Steam controller options. This fixed it for me.
