Stuck on "Preparing to launch FINAL FANTASY XV"

Hello guys, I was wondering if anybody else had this issue. I spent all day downloading the game prior to release and when I tried to play it today, the updating launch screen popped up and it's stuck there.

Yeah, 30 mins here. It says it's downloading something at the footer of window...but I don't see any progress bar...

after the pre load it took me like 2 hours to "install" i think, and after that like 15 min to run the game for the first time

It's not Stuck, it's Steam decryption and moving files around. For a game of this size this can take up to two hours. That's why if you have a decent internet connection you should not preload games (downloading games after launch will auto install without Steam decryption files which makes it much faster).

The game won't be 'downloading' but you will see HDD access as long as that is showing up numbers it's Steam decrypting the files and installing, but as I said it can take up to two hours of a game of this size.

Depending on your CPU, Ram & HDD/SSD speeds time may vary but even on my I7 4790K & SSD (2 SSD's in raid even) it took over an hour for this to complete.

I did the pre-load because my internet is just 10Mb/s a it would almost a day to download everything
