Why do they keep patching out Aranea?

So, in the two years since this game launched there have been multiple glitches to make Aranea a permanent party member. But Square routinely patches these glitches. But considering that difficulty isn't this games selling point and that a lot of people like Aranea...
Well, Square, why can't you just let us have this? I for one like to diversify my sausage fest of a team a little, and sometimes, a glitch is actually a feature. You don't have to fix it just because.
In fact, you should just make her officially the 5th post-game with a roomier backseat in the Regalia. She poses in the photo ops and auto-snaps, has camp animations, and the guys comments on the photos she's in. Clearly, she was meant to be there to stay at some point.
So please, stop being such killjoys? <3

That so? Tell me more. And yeah I kinda do, given the interactions she has with the gang already it just feels like so much lost potential.

I don't/have never used CheatEngine myself so I don't know that much about it, there's been threads with info regarding such. (I have nothing against it, btw, I just never seem to get around to such things) But I know you can get ready-done "tables" for adding in most of the NPC's in the game to the party, something like that.

You can even stick Ardyn there, but apparently he won't fight and just stands around doing nothing. :D I wouldn't mind Ravus in the party - just for the chuckles.

Wasn't the Aranea glitch permanently patched out over a year ago? And yeah, just use Cheat Engine now. It's way simpler than all that noise you needed to do before, and having to redo the glitch to make her leave the party. Now you can add whoever you want with a drop down box in the cheat table.

Is it going to cause a bugs when there are other guest join the team?

I do love me a dragoon, but I'm forcing myself not to "mod" anything into the game on my first playthrough, which includes Aranea (And Iris. She's surprisingly awesome too during battle)

But yeah, PC = "They patched something out? Pfft, hold my beer."

Not sure. I don't leave her in my party all the time since you can't use the car, chocobos, or fast travel while she's around. It's nice to add her when doing dungeons or posing for photos though.

You can add Iris, Aranea, Corr, Ravus, and Ardyn to your party as a guest. You can also remove any of the guest by simply selecting the none value in the list.

There actually is a way to glitch it still, but not gonna go into detail. Nice to hear that it can be done via cheat engine though. On that topic, can you use said engine to remove guest character invincibility?

I don't think so. I've mostly played with Iris, and no enemy can kill her.
