Has the Lucci Ring Instant Kill Bug for Adamantoise been patch or not?

Title says it all, but I wonder if the glitch where you hold Y with the Lucci Ring with a 1% chance to instantly kill the Adamtoise despite your level is still working or not. Has anyone got confirmation whether it works?

It works. But one time it took me 70+ casts to make it activate.

Good to know. Would this be a good method to get characters to max level? What can you do with the adamtoise drops anyways?

You can easily use this method to get your characters to level 99 but level 99+ needs to be hard grinded (1 Million+ xp for one level)

adamantoise drops adamantoise meat (most of the time)
but also adamantite, which you can use to limit break your spells (strongest spells ingame 9999+ damage) or you can sell it for 50k gil :)

Level 1 team + Alterna vs Adamantoise still works. Took a lot of tries and point warp rests though.
