Why am I forced to sit through a 5 minute long hands off trip nearly every time I need to complete a quest?

yeah you can upgrade the speed mine is 70mph instead of the original 40 or 50mph

Just unlock every parking place while you do something else and later you can just jump everywhere you want. Or quick drive to one place in the near which you already had unlocked, so its maybe a 1min drive instead of 5-8min.

Later on you can get 2 upgrades for the speed too. The 70mph one you can get in Altissia in the Arena there. Needs a bit of farming but not too bad.

Getting the car speed upgrades makes the fast travel times faster as well.

But the fastest engine upgrade, if I recall, has to be acquired through that mini-game. Although you can also just purchase the mini-game currency with gil, if you don't mind the huge markup fee. :P

360.000 of that mini game currency equals 3.600.000 Gil. Better to just play the minigame. Its easy anyway, just bet max on the lowest number. If there is 4.2,4.5,2.5 and 1.7...bet on 1.7. Sure you can try to bet on 2.5 too but higher risk then. But never bet on 4.2 if there is a 1.7...numbers are just random from me.

Coeurl beats pretty much everything :D

Fast enemies and bigger groups seem to have the best chances. It takes forever though. Found a Cheat Engine table with had the option to ignore the coin count and just buy the things since I really see no point in playing a game of chance for hours.

Haha possible, hate that things. But i never had a Coeurl in the matches i bet on. Got me some weapons, rod and the engine upgrade...so played quite a bit in that Arena...my best bet where that scorpions tho. They can do some crazy damage too but sometimes very random if they win or not. The big one is nice but when he gets attacked from 2 or 3 groups its over. If he can sneak from the back its an easy win even with low chances :D was still fun somehow.

i got most of the stuff in one hour or 2 on the prizes and won ods such as 9.8 and such and got alot of cactuars and they win very easily which was great and i could get 6.2 extra and i would rearly lose and i would always put the max bet guess i was lucky xD

Eh, I don't find it that hard to make a few million in the game, post-game. Not saying it'd take a few hours but it's not that hard. I bought most of the things in the arena (that I cared about) for gil, on console. I hate mini-games.

Gasless engine is the only mega tough one for me, since it's 30+ million gil or something. I have it (on console) but eh, don't need it so I haven't bothered.

These days you can just repeatedly reset clock for Timed Hunts, use QP to buy the Vexxos, and sell those for 500k, once you get bored of trying to legit-grind for actual gil.

I've actually seen the Courel lose.

Then again, he was a team of one vs 3 teams of 4+, he got overwhelmed. I admit that was the only time I've seen him lose.
