So Titan is impossible to summon unless you play bad on purpose...

You need to be in an open area and your teammates need to die... Goodluck finding an enemy in the open world that is strong enough to do that... Also you need to make sure NOT to heal your friends... Most ppl give them a potion when they are in danger so like i said, you DELIBERATLY need to suck at the game and not give your teammates any potions if you wanna summon Titan... Only the Kaijuta boss seems to be able to wipe my party.

Not true, summons in this game are actually great in my opinion. They ALWAYS show up when you actually REALLY need them, or at least they always did for me. Every single time I was having a hard time during a fight (which is rare but definitely happens) one of them ALWAYS showed up, and I really mean always. They are gods after all, not the general summonable spirits like in old games, they are the deities of Eos and I like how they implemented them. They will help you, just not always and this makes the more godly to my eyes. Titan always shows up for me if I need him in Duscae region by the way.

You'll find plenty of those later on. Just this morning, my QP quest was a level 140 behemoth and a level 130 treant at the same time. I was really hoping for a summon to speed things up a little, but nope. Plenty of the later hunts are also more than capable of murdering a party that isn't into endgame.

Dno what you are talking about, the summons happen frequently yes. But Titan ONLY appears when your party members die. And this never happens because it's super easy to keep them alive.

@Epic_Caesura Pretty sure summons are not possible on times quests.

I've summoned three times and seen the prompt for 6 or 7 so far. Every time it seems to have been random, with teammates in full health or slightly damaged (I'm grossly overleveled :D)

i find when notics is losing alot of hp(getting hit alot at once) they show up...titan appear once for me near hammerhead. we were fighting those catus thingies and they were doing that needle thing(ouch) and imperials had to stick thier noses into the fight too. notics was hanging up above healing and getting mp back...i saw summon symbol so i did it and poof there was titan. wow it was so cool...he threw an mountain ontop of everything. havent seen shiva yet. i basically get ra and lev mostly.


edit: yay, i finally got shiva to summon...it was up north in the swamp region in the upper hills at night. hehe poor notics almost froze his buns off. it was really pretty to see; started with that girl and ended up with shiva in the end,

they all cool to see, but i like titan amine the best. wish we had the other 2 as summons too that would be nice to see their amination for those two,

almost forgot amount carby...not playing on easy so can't see him, oh will. hmmm....got thinking he resurrects ppl err he could of resurrect notics at the end after notics fulfil his duty...but no the tiny fellow never showed up,,,thats not fair:( he was fellowing him all over the world like a puppy, would think he would come to him at the end :P

I summoned Titan while fighting with the antagonist. I was killing him anyway but it was great.

The randomness is nice, but It would've been even better to have additional Astral related quests that when completed would allow you to summon them whenever you wanted.

Definitely would've added more hours to the main story.

I only ever summoned Titan at the end fight with Ardyn. On the plus side, I love that he got squished under a massive boulder. Couldn't ask for a better first time.

I've farmed this encounter 21 times (farming to level to 120) and didnt get a summoning offering in any of them.
Once when I was moving from the nearest camp spot to the encounter I got a summon offering vs two level 12 rhinos right off the batch -_-
It's definetely not when you're in a pinch.
Other time I got a summon offering was vs max angelus, and he's imune to the damage. lol.

Shiva appears ALL THE TIME on the last dungeon

I've only summoned Titan once in the entire game

Never managed to summon Leviathan, guess it's the rarest one.

Im specifically talking Titan. I managed to get him by fighting the big Kujata enemy near Cauthess Disc. And deliberatly NEVER healed my teammates and there he was.

Any other summon happens pretty regularly, but Leviathan and Shiva are pretty lame. Only Titan has that OOOH ♥♥♥♥ moment due to the destruction he brings. Levi and Shiva don't bring any destruction.

Just hate that i can only Summon Titan when my teammates die which is almost NEVER, especially in the open world. Like what enemy can i fight in an OPEN area to get his fist punch... None, cuz no enemy can kill my teammates in an open area! Except for maybe Angelus which is postgame.

For the Titan I think you have to fight near the Disc area, and your team must have at least 1 character down. I'm nearly 130 hours in, at chapter 8 but so far has only summoned Titan twice, and each time he did 2 different animation (one was tossing a big ass chunk of rock and the other one was the ultimate punch).
For Ramuh you just have to keep fighting through like 4-5 mobs but don't let any character of your team down. I summon Ramuh all the time lol
