A question regarding the story spoiler of the comrades DLC!

Hi guys, quick question.
I already played through the main game and my brother just buyed this beautiful piece of gaming history.
We really want to play the comrades multiplayer, but I dont want to spoil anything in the story for him.
So my question is: are there big spoilers in the comrades dlc which show to much of the ending?
I mean I know it plays between chapter 13 and 14 when noctis is asleep, but are there any major spoilers in it?

Other than the setting itself, the biggest spoilers I can think of would be when Noctis emerges from the Crystal at the end of the Galdin Quay portion of the main quest, the Comdrades: Departure mission, and some parts of the Insomnia quest line. Some minor spoilers here and there, but they likely wont be noticed if your brother doesn't know the context.

That's a question I can't answer, it all depends on what you two consider a spoiler.

I consider somethin as a spoiler if it kind of takes the "wow" effect out of specific key scenes.
We don't care about minor things, we only care about REAL spoilers (for example if it would show noctis his death)

Playing comrades after chapter 13 makes it flow pretty well.

You see the in-between stuff happen,and once you play through the majority of the comrades questline and go to Chapter 14,there is a side quest which uses your Comrades avatar. Pretty nice moment.

Also,him playing Comrades straight away without main game will make main game combat seem quite weird to him. Let him experience it properly,since you clearly like the game.

From the top of my head it spoils that Noctis is asleep, spoils the gods, spoils all the characters that show up, spoils who the bad guy is, spoils that there's been an apocalypse..

And honestly probably more stuff I've forgotten, I'd play the game to completion first.

We agreed that he plays until the end of chapter 13 so we can have a nice story flow :)

The end of Comrades changes a minor and non-game changing aspect of the story at the beginning of ch14. Also, one of the ch14 missions will include a guest character that will be your last-played comrades character if you have played comrades, if not it'll be a random kingsglaive. It is possible for the comrades character to be OPAF, and can be a nearly invincible assist against some of the harder Insomia 1.2 bosses. Playing or not playing the 3 bropisodes have more impact as far as spoilers and the endgame making sense...also making you feel like Noctis is less of a self absorbed prick after the abject depression of the post-Laviathan chapters.
