PC vs PS4 performance?
I know the PS4 is 30fps, but how stable is the pc version? I tried the demo, and it was pretty much fluctuating between 30-60 fps, sometimes with textures flickering all over the place. If the console version has a stable 30fps, then I'll chose that.

Well I've a 1080ti and i7 7700k both OCed and I can get 60fps as far as it goes to 2k. No performance issues so far with the Special K mod and am also using the 4k texture pack.

PS4 is 30 fps with some drops below the 30 fps line in combat, and that results in a very unstable level of performance. On PC, even if you can't get a solid 60 fps, you can cap the frame rate at 30 fps and get a perfectly even 30 (using Nvidia half-refresh-rate adaptive Vsync, it works better than the in-game limiter) and that's going to be way better than the inconsistent frame rate you get on PS4.

The in-game 30fps limiter is HORRENDOUS, it turns the game into a slideshow and it feels more like 15 FPS for whatever reason. The Nvidia half vsync options creates problems with in-game cgi scenes though, I tried it.

I disagree. the 30fps looks pretty smooth, and drops only appear when loading a new area or fighting a load of enemies with heavy alpha effects(+ amiger unleashed).
Ps4`s performance is a lot worse, though tolerable.

it's unstable 30fps on base consoles. 60 fps on the xbox one x, when you select high performance mode.

even then, the mobile cpu barely hits 60 fps unless you look up at the sky

Yeah I was gonna say, the "60 fps" on XB1X is more like juddery 40-45 fps. That's worse than a locked 30. At least on PC I can force a 45 fps cap if I'm stuck in the no-mans-land between 30 and 60...

I run the game at 4k around 30-40fps (no added resolution scaling) and it's nice and smooth and looks tons better than the PS4-Pro (I use the 4k texture pack). This on an old i7-920 and 980ti.

Don't get me wrong, the Pro looks pretty good (on the same 4k TV) but when I go back to it now I feel like it's all blurry and my eyes hurt/feel strained.

Thus to me the PC version is definitely worth it over the console version. Plus if you have a nvidia card you can use Ansel for mega-resolution screenshots which is drool worthy.

well the game goes back and forth between 60 to 30 fps. some of the cinemas are locked at a low performance because they're not even in-game. it would seem the game is not perfect on either platform. pc version has more flexibility.

It is not 60 fps on the xbox one X, only in certain specific areas, but it is not a 60 fps game.

yes, already clarified this above.

Many people are reporting random crashes including me. You won't have crashes on PS4

Runs amazing and looks amazing if you have the hardware.
- GTX 1080; i7-04790k @ 4.6 GhZ; 32 GB ram here. Run "real" 2k flawlessly at 60 fps.

I have not a single crash and I'm in the post-game. Even when I was fooling around with overclocking my CPU to 5.0GhZ on a closed loop Kraken X62 for kicks I didn't crash with my system being pretty unstable. I also run this with chrome, or another browser, first aid for the usmle, and about four other programs open in the background (32GB of ram). The point's not to brag but to say- you have the right to complain with the right hardware. But don't complain if your running a system that's about as powerful as a PS4 but you expect all the PC nvidia effects and 60fps even if only at 1080p

If you have a graphics card below a 1070 without a CPU to match go to PS4 man'. I never understood people expecting the "pc" experience without getting the right hardware.
