Could not save game. Play will continue, but current progress is not saved.

I'm over 100+ hours and I can no longer save my game.. I can't even save a new game
I've verified game cache & reinstalled the game. I can't continue my story if i can't save. If you have a fix please help!!

why can't you save? Have you checked Steam cloud? are your local files saves different than steam cloud saves? What happens when you try to save?

When i attept to save or autosave starts i get the message "Could not save game. Play will continue, but current progress is not saved."

Sounds like it could be a permissions issue in Windows. I don't know where the different saves are stored, but I would find out and make sure the folder tree is set to "read and write". Additionally, try launching steam and/or the game as administrator.

when you saved each time in the past did you override you current(s) or made a new one each time...if the later then you probably used up all you save slots up.(if thats the case then delete some of the older ones) hmmm...or maybe you free memory on said pc/lap is towards not having much left(if thats the case uninstall some unimportant things/games and clean up your event viewer:logs)

I only have 2 quick saves and 2 of my original saves. every last one of them are corrupt even new games can't be saved.

I've figured it out

Windows 10 Has a Program called windows defender

Inside of windows defender there is this setting called "Allow Controlled Files" For some reason it was activated so by deactivating I was able to fix it and now i can save and continue playing :)

The "Allow Controlled Files" for me didn't worked, because it was already activated and I still have these issues
