Does the dlc/changes make FF15 finally worth playing?

Topic, I ask this because I had the game back for the orignal ps4 release, and I honestly felt it was one of the worst rpgs I have played in recent years. Other than the graphics I felt most of the game was very poorly done. Any idea if this edition actually makes the combat intersting? or the dlc is worth it? I did clear it, but only because sony refused to give me a refund on it due to how many they have gotten already for it.

I don't care about framerate too much or resolution, as those things will not fix the games based problems, if they haven't been adjusted, for example: has the combat gotten any better? or is it still the same combat? I felt they really dropped the ball on the gameplay aspect, the story was pathethic (what little the game actually even had other than side quests).

Bascally I am on the fence here wondering if its worth taking a chance or not. The orignal ps4 release was one of the biggest letdowns for me in years. So I am sort of hesitant on touching the pc version unless some massive changes were done.

I doubt the updates will change your mind if you found it to be one of the worst rpgs you've ever played. Might be worth checking out again in a couple years when the price has dropped signifigantly.

Guess I could do that, it'll most likely go on sale for 50-75% off by the winter sale this year if not earlier, If I only had to pay 20-30 canadian for it, i'd consider it, even if its not that great of a rpg. Mostly just as something to play.

Judging by your comment, I'd say wait a few years until it goes on sale .

I very much doubt this will go on SALE anywhere near this year's winter sale since Square Enix has already announced a NEW Season Pass and 3 more DLC's. That's not even including the Mod tools or support.

My opinion? Won't go on sale, at least nowhere near 50-70% until Next year for Xmax and that's almost 2 years away. You might be able to pick this one up for 10%, maybe 15-20% if it does really really bad on launch. But doubt it.

Well, the PS4 and Xbox versions went on sale rather quickly. The same might be true here.

And it's gonna be the same with this. Automata never had a pre-plan for a new Season pass and 3 new DLC's in the making either. And it wasn't even considered triple A as the budget spent on that game was very low compared to this. But you never know.

Those who don't wanna purchase this can just play the waiting game. Whether it's a year, two, or who knows how long, it remains to be seen.

These things are all relative. If you don't have a lot of time, or you have a massive backlog, then this isn't perhaps the game for you. There are a lot of better games out there. At the same time anyone who thinks this game is bad or even mediocre hasn't actually played any bad or mediocre games. It won't even take you much time to find far worse RPG's released in the past few years.
Personally, I think its good. Not great and not excellent and definitely not perfect. Its not mediocre and it's better than above average.People these days have a disturbing tendancy to have a binary rating system.
