Remember when games used to get released at midnight
Dunno why they changed it, it used to be much better not having to wait most of the day just to start it.

what you talking about? many games did midnight releases for physical copies, i remember a friend waited outside for Litch King for hours to get that game, does anyone know when the EST tome release will be for this?

I don't know why people are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the release date. At least Steam is keeping everyone on the same ground releasing it for everyone at the same time. You know for a fact people will complain more if certain areas got the game before others. With it being a "Global Release" it just means everyone will get it on whatever timezone Steam decides on. Talk about impaitent babies

if i remember correctly steam stopped the practice because of massive numbers of people migrating to the steam servers where it was released first (changing location) and shutting them down with traffic.

Studios have always been free to decide when they want to release their games. In the early days of Steam as a digital retailer everything used to release at noon PST, was like that for a couple years before studios started doing more midnight releases.

The game IS being released at midnight.

It's being released at exactly midnight of March 7th... In Japan.

I can remember in the past going to my local gamestore at midnight to get a game. Still happens actually a lot for major console releases. It actually was kind of a pain..standing in a line..getting there early ( because if there where only 10 people there they where open for about 10 minutes..if you got there at 15 past you where out of luck )...having to do the drive there and home again. Its much more convenient now.
