PS3 Controller buttons

Is there a way to show the Playstation controllers buttons insted of the xbox one, its disturbing for my OCD..

PS:im using scptools my controller is working fine, but inside the game the bindinds are from a XBOX controller just would like to change the icons

did you try setting big picture modes controller settings to PS3/4?

its a small thing but it is really disturbing especially since the X from xbox is a diferent X from PS

xbox one win10 controller works perfectly

didnt feel like trying all the crap needed to get a PS3 controller to work on steam so i went to walmart n got a $30 controller

That is an annoying quirk with PS3 controllers, but that's the price you pay for using a controller that isn't officially supported on PC. It sucks, but you get used to it.

Anyway, since the game uses generic button prompts, you're gonna have to wait and see if anyone makes a mod for it.

Honestly, I'm not too fond of using the PS3 controller after spending so much time with the PS4 controller.

But it is a solid design apart from the triggers.

dunno with the ps3 , but the ds4 automatically uses the playstation buttons on the demo.

are you using some other software to recognize the ps3/4 controller besides steam? like ds4windows , if so thats the problem, but those kind of programs make the controller looks like a xbox controller to the system, and so steam thinks its an xbox controller. If you have them , uninstall them and only use steam controller configuration on big picture, after the controller is set up there, u can exit bigpicture, steam will still recognize the controller ever if you dont play in big picture all the time , its how i do it with my ds4

edit: sorry just saw you said you use scptools, thats why steam thinks you are using a xbox controller, if you want the ps3 buttons you have to uninstall it , and set up it correctly on steam, but then again you will only be able to use the controller on steam games, if you have origin or other game source besides steam it wont work anymore, you gotta decide :3

You must not be using the steam controller api, because I used a PS4 controller and it gave me some generic looking icons.

i`m , you can set up the controller type on steam, they have xbox , ps4, steam , and generic controller setups , just gotta choose the ps4 one and unmark the others

I know that it's been a long time when I wake this up. But who knows when you need it (like me now).
You have to unplug your ds3 out of your PC, then load your save game. After that, plug your ds3 in your PC again (you may have to install the driver again in scptool). This way will make the game show the default icons for the controller.

The icons are not the ds3's icons, but you will know which button you should press.

I wish there was a mod like for MGR:R, where you could overwrite the original images used for the buttons with the one from the mod, in my case, overwrite the "generic" with the PlayStation DualShock's buttons.
Sometimes it recognizes the controller, most of the times I have to plug it and unplug it over and over.

Agreed, the DS3 controller was much better than the Xbox 360 and Ds4 controllers. Also, it has pressure sensitive buttons, which are great on PCSX2.
