Tips for Warp to Warp-point?
The only thing being told in the game is to just turn the camera towards it and then press 'Y'... but a lot of times, I end up with Noctis warping.... but not to the point.

Any idea why that is? Or tips how to prevent this?

yeah its clunky, its easy to warp at enemy just lock on them with R bumper but when game asks to warp on poles or high rocks you cant lock on them you aim camera and still misses 50% of time xD and warps random direction

Huh, gotcha, I'll try this next time. It might be that I got used to just pressing it and not holding it. Thanks!

This. Unlocked and holding the button will take you to the point every time.

The warp point you want has to sort of be Noct's focus - I'm not sure highlighted is the right word, but perhaps. Like there's an invisible center-screen aim-cursor you can't see. Otherwise if there is another warp point (for example) nearby he may go to that one (closer) or just do the horizontal "walking" warp.

Edit: oh ... yeah, you do have to hold it, not just tap it.

You press to warp strike and hold to move to a warp point.

Alright, thank you all for answering!

Yeah after I hold the button like you all suggest, I find it's really easy to do now :) Thanks again!

Yeah you will see prompts on your screen (boulders, towers, etc.), and hold said button to warp to that point.

If you need to get away from enemies piling onto you, just tap the warp button and it will warp Noct to wherever he's facing. (regardless of where the camera is pointed at)

To hit enemy, hold the lock on button, and then tap the warp strike button.

Found a good solution for point warping! Basically press the n key on the keyboard for first person view. Forces you to face noctis the way towards the point warp marks and holding down the f key by itself will make the point warps everytime. You gotta hold down the f key until noctis warps to point

The warp button, press it instead of just tapping it iirc

Oh, hold the button down?? Thank you so much! I nearly gave up in frustration after always tapping.

Hold for point warp, tap for movement warp, lock-on with tap for warp strike. System actually handles it pretty well, tbh. One of the few things that the game actually gets right. Works in MP, too.
