How to use cheat engine?
I've played the game a few times already on PC and on Xbox, and at this point I just want to play around with Unlimited Armiger. However I have absolutely no clue how to use cheat engine to give Noctis Unlimited Armiger. I found the post with the cheat engine table but honestly, I don't understand it one bit. Would anyone be able to help me out step by step on how to use cheat engine to give Noctis unlimited armiger?
If so I'd be very, very thankful!

Open Cheat Engine. Tell it what table you want it to use (little file folder icon). There should be checkboxes and such re:the table's options in the white window below after that.
Open game to main menu.
Tell Cheat Engine to "select process to open" = XV's .exe (little pc looking icon)
Wait a bit then you should be able to check/uncheck the table boxes that you want to activate.

If you want to change table settings, you have to go back to the Main Menu first/reload save.

So I opened FFXV in cheat engine. At the bottom I see Enable .72 and enable .73(dev) options. None of them will actually check though. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind I got it to work! Thank you! I was using the wrong file.

A better question might now be, how do I update the table? XD

I've enjoyed using cheat engine to raise the level of all enemies. Makes for some pretty good boss battles. I also limit potions, but don't use cheat engine for that. But Armiger Unleashed lasts longer on enemies, they don't die right away. I'm still trying to find the perfect balance of difficulty, but I had an insane battle against Aranea.

How are you increasing the enemies' levels?

https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy15/mods/43

Go there and read about it, it explains what it is and how to use it, very easy. You already have cheat engine, you download this and can use it with cheat engine.

No way! It's just a mod basically. And not a bad mod, like say if someone were to "mod" their xbox one. It's not like that. You won't lose out on achivements or anything. It's in no way a bad thing to use. It's truly no different than if you ever used cheat codes on Snes or Playstation 2.

It's fine for a single-player game. Just don't use it during online/MP play or it could be a problem. Depends.

Cheat codes like snes/ps2 were programmed into the game to be used that way, cheat engine is more like a game shark back in the day, it is running code outside of the game to manipulate your system memory and alter things. Because of this you just need to be careful where you get your tables from, its probably possible to put malware into a CE table somehow to mess up your PC since it is running with such high permissions. Not totally sure what is possible like that though, I only rarely use CE to tweak games (like playing god eater 3 at 1.5x speed).

But yeah CE is not "the same thing as a mod" or old video game cheat codes, it actually is closer to a jailbroken console (allowing it to run unapproved programs) than any of those. You are just on a PC so there is no need to "jailbreak" to run CE
