Same for me. Didn't change anything
There is a lot of content for it that broke since release.
I mean it didn't hurt to try.
Though this topic did bring up the question of whats gonna happen to the current mods when they move the game to the *offline* version and I want to get workshop mods I didn't get or new mods after this method aka steam workshop doesn't work anymore.
drop mods in there. workshop mods r that binmod.list, but u can drop individual mods from nexus in that folder too., they will be separate files not included in binmod.list. they show up same as workshop mods in game.
for nexus, download a mod, place it in that folder where binmod.list is.
if theres any special instructions on nexus that mite alter other files, they should say so in its description
for example, i downloaded this mod here https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy15/mods/154?tab=files
i downloaded its main file, the costume, n dropped it in the mods folder i described before. but if i wanted to install the fix for the hair clipping too, i had to replace some other file in the games folders.
so to install the mod, all i did was drop it in the folder where steam workshop mods were. to modify noctis' hair, i had to take an extra step.
