Need help, Catoblepas Brisket

I cant seem to complete this quest, everytime I go over to the lake where the catoblepas are, they are always just chillin in the water, is there a way to entice them out onto land so that I can fight them?

What quest? Prompto or bounty hunt? There's no way to get them out onto the land but there's hunt where you can kill Catoblepas, you can find that hunt next to them

It's the 'A Meat Most Magnificent' quest, I killed one of them before but it didnt drop a brisket and I read online that it has a low drop rate. So repeatedly I've gone back numerous times to the lake where it should've respawned and its never there :/

You need to take on the hunt again for another one to spawn.

Do the hunt, save nearby, kill it, and if it doesn't drop reload and try again.

This Quest is making me seriously anrgy!
I´ve did it multiple times now, at least up to eight kills, but the frecking Catoblepas brisket never dropped!

I tried fire & lightning magic, I´ve focused on the main body...

Nothing!

To hell with this crap!

Cook a Mother and Child Rice bowl before you enter the fight,which can be unlocked by visiting the lookout in Lestallum and finding the woman sitting at a picnic table eating the dish. A brief cutscene will be triggered, and Ignis will add the Mother & Child Rice Bowl to his list of recipes. . It will increase the droprate and the Brisket willl probably drop after you kill one beast.

HP Boost (20): Increases maximum HP by 1000.
EXP Boost (3): Increases experience points earned by 30%.
Perception Boost (5): Increases enemy item drop rate by 50%.
