If that isn't an issue, I'd say pc for one simple reason........MODS!!!!!!
Ok, there aren't many out yet, but as SE releases more tools and people learn them, there will likely be many more.
Of course i have a controller for the pc.
As for mods no i don't use them neither i will... I prefer vanilla all over the way bro and i simply want the game for its story :)
Too many bugs and Square Enix provide no fix at all ...
That being said.. HOWEVER... the game is buggy as can be. I experienced my first crash last night (just a little over 40 hours into it on the PC version) and it was just a random shutdown without any warning. The micro-studdering here and there is enough to drive me crazy, but thankfully it rarely happens. The specialK mod helps out a lot, but even with it, there are still some issues with the PC version that keep me from saying it is perfect. I actually PREFER the PC version to my PS4 one, but the PS4 was rock solid and stable for me the entire time, so keep that in mind when you are trying to decide. The Royal Pack stuff will also be included in the PC version, vs. another add-on you will need to get, only if you are just getting the base game on the PS4. and not the Royal Edition.
Tough choice, for sure. If I had to pick and lose access to one or the other, I'd have a hard time deciding which one I would like to let go. :D
Couldn't agree more. In fact, I have desktop and laptop that are both high-end and almost nearly the same specs. (Both use a GTX 1070). My desktop plays this game WAY worse than the laptop does, which is crazy to me, since they are so close spec wise. 60+fps is amazing, no doubt... but rock-solid 30fps is nice when you are doing 3-4 hour dungeon runs and can't save. :D
There are already some appearance mods, and they're making a modding tool. You also get all DLC.
I have an RX480 with an i7700k. I run everything on max 1080p except I have all NVIDIA stuff off. It's smooth at about 50-70fps and I have no problems. But I would advise having an SSD if you don't want to see stutter. an SSD is required for a smooth experience.
There is a memory leak issue for some people though, and it hasn't been patched. I have not had that issue.
