exactly the same problem on this sound card, there is no sound in the game, only in video clips
OM3GA Feb 27, 2018 @ 3:25am
Sound > Right click your audio device > Configure Speaker > Stereo. Works on SB ZxR

I had this same problem in the benchmark and now in the demo as you all. However, I turned down the audio format to 24bits, 48000 Hz and the sound is working!

I'm going to start testing by raising the audio format to see where it breaks.

Hey guys! I played through demo and I experienced every-now-so-often sound stuttering. It's like sometimes sound goes through a cheese grinder or something. Can anyone point out what should I look into to fix this please? :steamsad:
i followed OM3GA advice above

it worked for soundblaster zx

but for sennheiser gsx1000 nothing worked.

I don't even know what my sound card is. I frankly doubt it is a problem of a sound card. All of my other games work perfectly fine. I tryed all logicle solutions like using headphones - doesn't work. Switching modes from home theater to a tv (great port) - doesn't work. Tryed to limit frames to 30 and 60 - doesn't work. It clearly something to do with an actual game. So I thought maybe someone found out the root of the problem and how to fix it.
have u tried the above fix?
go to windows sound playback
select your soundcard configure
change to 2.1

It was always on 2.1. I did check it back and forth just to make sure.

I don't have my sound completely muted. It's just. In some sections sound becomes extremely distorted and lagged out for a few seconds. Sometimes longer. Like during heavy music tracks.

Increasing my audio format up to my maximum allowed seemed to make the threshhold of when sound distortion happens higher. When it was low on sixteen bits I had distortion even during theme music on the title screen. Now it only happens during gameplay dialogues sometimes and during heavy music bits again during gameplay sections.
well that what happens with sennheiser gsx1000.
