I didn't touch the mouse or keyboard when playing with the controller, but I did notice, that the on-screen buttons show controller symbols for a few frames, but quickly return to m/kb symbols
I'll take my 'best answer' from you now please.....
Thanks! I have mine set to 8000 (in the config file). I think the default setting is 4000 when you set it to highest settings in the in game settings menu. I will give it a try though. The game is using 10 out of 11 gb of my vram.
No problem, let us know how it turns out. However, this game has one other horrible technical flaw. http://steamcommunity.com/app/637650/discussions/0/1697167168517798273/
This does help the stuttering but with the HD textures and most everything at max setting it to average causes various textures to not fully render.
You can try it out. Press some random key on keyboard/mouse and hold gamepad in another hand, and press some button there. You will notice stutter. If you continue pressing buttons on keyboard and then on your gamepad, you can reproduce this issue continuously and make a slideshow out of the game.
This may become problem when for some reason (broken kb/m? broken gamepad? keyloggers?) one of your input devices sends signals to game when you don't use that other device. So game thinks that you switched devices and replaces textures for prompts causing bad stutters.
If you are sure that your keyboard/mouse are working fine, I'd run antivirus if I were you.
P.S. If you have stutters when you are playing keyboard/mouse, then it is your gamepad that sends signals and causes stuttering. Otherwise, it is a problem with kb/m.
P.P.S. It may seem as if I know what I am talking about. : )
I don't.
