Demo Save file carry over?

In the console releases, completing the demo unlocks Carbuncle, so it's worth doing if that's the case here.

That was a completely different demo featuring a scenario not present in the main game - where we play through Noctis' dream while he's sleeping. (Unless you're talking about the Japan-only Judgement Disc demo?)

And what do you mean "unlocks Carbuncle"? I own the PS4 version and played its demo, but this is news to me.

When you start a new game in the demo it gives you a pop up saying your progress wont be transferred to the full game.

This. I had hoped it'd carry over so I can play through it early, but they make it clear at launch of the game it wont carry over. Can't blame them and really enjoy seeing my rig run it so well, especially after the benchmark tool.

I made that comment the second the demo was released and everyone was still downloading it so we didn't know for sure "lol"

there was a bit cut out of the demo that is present in the maingame, dont stress since you learned the basics it should take half the time in the maingame to get your progressed

Plus you can just skip all the cutscenes. The only other thing you'd really have to do again is reset your settings.

they cut some bits out of the game in the demo, i don't know if that has anything to do with it. anyway if it works you need to go to my documents and move the file from the demo folder to the game, however it says when starting the demo (new game) your game will not be compatible with the official version.
