the map is indeed handicaped by tons of invis walls, specially later while flying ( you cant pass over some mountains or the game re-route you to another path).
Minus the invisible walls from mountains.
I have played the game. It has 2 really big maps with a ton of detail and monsters in them. Now we're getting an upgraded final zone with new bosses and an ocean map we can explore with even more bosses.
Game is pretty big as is and it's about to get much bigger.
P.S: The flying car suuuuuuuuuuuucks.
I would say with that in mind Skyrim has a larger accessible map, and though it has more dungouns and caves the XV dungon maps are all larger and also for the most part Seamless with the outside world. There is also special end game dungons that also expand the size of most of the dungons.
