Is this game bigger than Skyrim? (the game world)
If the Pocket Edition is any indicator, Skyrim seems bigger with its endless dragons.

from what i heard yes, can't provide any source now, but it should be the bigger

The map itself bigger than Skyrim's but you cant access ALOT of it. For example in the whole left part only roads are accsessable.

Not really. Skyrim's map is fully accessible. In here large chunks of the map are blocked off with invisible walls (mountains, etc).

Yea aesthetically FFXV's map is bigger than Skyrim however... in terms of accessibility, a lot of the game's areas are inaccessible with invisible walls and such. BUT...since the game is coming with mod support and they're providing us with an official modding tool, that'll quickly change and modders will get to create new lands / recreate cut areas from the game and make the whole map accessible.

100% true

the map is indeed handicaped by tons of invis walls, specially later while flying ( you cant pass over some mountains or the game re-route you to another path).

You can access a good sum of it. I don’t know where you got that from. With the new monster truck that goes off roading and chocobos this is very false.

Minus the invisible walls from mountains.

Have you palyed the game? Everyting accessable on modified regalia or chokobo can be accessed on foot aswell they dont jump any higher. And on the left side of the map any road fenced. Only way to access those empty regions is to glitch type F Regalia or penetrate invisible walls with NPC traffic.

Played*

I have played the game. It has 2 really big maps with a ton of detail and monsters in them. Now we're getting an upgraded final zone with new bosses and an ocean map we can explore with even more bosses.

Game is pretty big as is and it's about to get much bigger.

P.S: The flying car suuuuuuuuuuuucks.

Having ran on foot alot over both the FFXV map and Skyrim I feel like they are pretty close in size, though in XV there are a number of areas that are blocked off by a line of trees or the just how the earth is shaped, or is gated off after a certian event preventing you from going back to a section. You also can't swim in XV so that limits how much of the large lake you can explore, though you can see the shoreline on the other side so you really are not missing out on much.

I would say with that in mind Skyrim has a larger accessible map, and though it has more dungouns and caves the XV dungon maps are all larger and also for the most part Seamless with the outside world. There is also special end game dungons that also expand the size of most of the dungons.

I feel like one of the first mods that will come for this game will be the no boundary mod + swimming mod. And it can be done relatively easily since Noctis do get to swim at certain chapter.

Okay so I am guessing a 30GB game with 70GB textures/models. At least we get to show off improved graphics hopefully
Gums Feb 21, 2018 @ 10:24pm
you the same guy thats spamming that 30/70 ratio elsewhere too? fyi, you don't know jack about gamedev so stop that it's embarrasing.

I have been generous..Skyrim is only 12GB in total. FFXV takes up almost 10 times as much space but..
