Wow 16 GB of RAM for 1080p!?
I'm guessing since the requirements say 16 GB you need more than 16 GB of RAM right?

Cause your system takes up some RAM...

Dunno i'm kinda confused about the ram usage and performance hit.

8 gb ddr4 ( the other 8gb stick died recently)
i5 6600k
Titan xp 2016

i'm getting around 35-40 fps in 4k max settings, with a usage of 6.5-7.5 gb of ram.
the lack of ram is bottlencking my fps or the recommended build of 16gb it's just a troll thing like always? cause from the bench on the net i think that even with 16gb i couldn't get more fps than now

But you said "No in 1080p and max settings. 8-9gb"

That's not true. Whether you're playing at max settings is not true, and if you don't play at max settings then why call it max settings?

No
Ive only said HIGH settings

Ive never said anything about Max

U didn't , the guy I replied to said it. And you replied to me over his reply. For whatever reason.

Yeah for 4K that usage really isnt surprising

and for Max 1080p 9ish sounds about right

They are completely out of eachother's league in terms of system requirements. So you should do the ffxv benchmark instead and get that score rather than ff 14

Lower the TRAM, its where most of the resource usage comes from.

And closing un-needed programs/processes helps, should be done before gaming anyway on an 8GB system.
This.. TRAM at max is a resource hog like you would not believe on RAM... lowered by one sitting and use a reasonable amount of RAM

luminous engine with new effects sucks the nintendo switch can't run well ff15 . final fantasy 7 remake will use unreal engine 4 as dragon quest 11

requirements do not work that way, it accounts for your system. well it accounts for an average windows install with some stuff running, but not if you have an extra 12gb of programs running.

the requirements with ram are almost always higher than needed. if it says 8 you can get by with 4-6, if it says 16 you are good with 8. i have 8 and play many AAA games maxed out at 1080p 60fps, no issues ever with any of them. 8gb, i5, rx 480, never a single issue due to ram.

might get lucky with newegg, I always spot some decent deals there

Yeah. Mind you, I built this PC a few years back before DDR4 came in the picture so I'm still using DDR3 so its not like I'm gonna be breaking the bank or anything. Can get another 8GB for around 80 bucks, if not a little cheaper depending.

don't waste your money.. you also will need to make sure you are buying the exact same ram you have, so that could throw your price off. have yet to see any current game have any issues at 1080p with 8gb of ram.
