[SPOILERS] IGNIS DLC - Extra Verse
I somehow missed the Extra verse from my first playthrough and just completed it yesterday. Nice to see there is an alternative ending, a 'happier' one I guess but I am not sure.

What happened to Noctis in the end? Is he still alive?

What happened to Ardyn?

Why Ignis was alone in the Royal court and was mute when he said something to Noctis in the final scene?

Thanks!

There are no official lore yet, but I have made my own assumptions.

If you're asking is he's alive before alternative ending, the question is not. The fate is the same.

In the dream world he goes to Versus (as said by the king in Platinum demo, only on the world of dreams Noctis is the king and Carbuncle is a protector of her dreams, all the game is a dream, the fact is only he can still see him), the skill on the Ring of the Lucii is called Versus and it retains the creatures he send in another timeless world, were the king of the past remains still alive. Here is were I think Nomura trailer starts the game, were Noctis does not totally remember who is herself and meet's Stella from another eon who also has amnesia.

The fact Ignis got implied as a sacrifice means he will go also inside Versus.

The Omen Trailer maybe just a reflection of his parallel real world and not a dream concept.

I think the game truly end's when he remembers her true love is Luna and not Stella and they finally reunite again as it's show in FF XV end.

He's probably just dead and hopefully he can rest her broken soul forever. The good Ardyn is just a reflection of his true personality before it got broken.

Probably 'daijobu'/'arigatou', or 'we meet again'. it's a pretty short word.

Extra: Verum Rex on Kingdom Hearts III. A Nomura's reflection of his Versus world. Were meets again with Prompto and Ardyn.

It is all in credits roll - Ignis just asks around, visits some places and somehow figures out a way to kill Ardyn without killing Noct. In the end he says "Your Majesty", and is alone because it's like their post credit camp scene, but happy.

Thanks for the links.

I am not familiar with the Versus 13 stories and not sure if the stories remain the same in ffxv.

After seeing that scene again, the words said by Ignis silently in the final scene with Noctis is ' Your Majesty'.

And Noctis seems to be alive in this ending, although does not seem to be happy. Maybe he is feeling alone at the throne without Luna.

Ardyn looked terrified when he saw Ignis having the ring. I think when Ignis sacrificed his life to save Noctis, Ardyn's immortality is damaged. So Noctis does not have to die and kill Ardyn in the astral.

You are right, with Ignis being the smartest person around, he could spend the 10 years to find the secret knowledge to ensure Noctis have the upper hand in the final battle.

I think this is the ending Regis hope will happen - the friends he selected to be with Noctis finding a way to save Noctis' life in the final battle.

This is totally wrong, is will of Bahamut that Ardyn and Noctis dies, he says the price is stop the illness spread, but this is a question of own disgust of Eos give birth Ardyn and Noctis with an human being. The special powers they got, it is just a God's gift. Noctis does never really wants to stop Ardyn, is Ardyn who steps on the King's Fate and works on God's whim. In this moment, Ardyn is jealous and feels revulsion of gods, couse the ring should rest in her own hand, and not on Noctis... Nyx is the only who notice the true nature of God's sake.

Look the end of Omen Trailer were Regnis claims the gods forgive couse he will allow Bahamut fate to Noctis will die, and Dawn Trailer were he cries couse knows he will never saw him again...

Lol....Ignis is not blind in this alternate ending. Noctis revived and cured him before jumping into the crystal
